2-Day Wheel Throwing Workshop

What You’ll Do:

  • Day 1 (9am to 12noon Saturday, 3 hours): Learn to throw consistent mug bodies/cylinders, center clay properly, and start pulling basic handles. Use your 2.5kg of quality clay to create 3–4 mug forms.
  • Day 2 (9am to 12noon Sunday, 3 hours): Trim and refine your mugs, attach handles securely, add personal touches (stamps, textures), and glaze your favorites. We’ll handle bisque + glaze firings—pick up your finished mugs in 3–4 weeks!

This workshop focuses on tall, narrow forms with secure rims for lids, ideal for coffee runs, commutes, or keeping drinks hot/cold longer. Build skills in functional pottery and end up with a reusable ceramic travel cup you’ll use every day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Day 1 (9am to 12noon Saturday, 3 hours): Center clay for tall cylinders, pull even walls, shape tapered bodies and rims that fit lids perfectly. Use your 2.5kg of quality clay to throw 2–4 travel cup forms (experiment with sizes!).
  • Day 2 (9am to 12noon Sunday, 3 hours): Trim bases/foot rings for stability, refine shapes, add textures or personal stamps, attach any details, and glaze your best pieces. We’ll bisque + glaze fire everything—pick up your finished travel cups in 3–4 weeks! One silicon lid included per person (extras $5 if you want spares or backups that fit).
